One of the constant highlights of working on The Hobbit trilogy of movies, for me, was working with amazing people!

I had the huge privilege of working with Ed Sheeran on his song ‘I See Fire’ for the film ‘The Desolation Of Smaug”.

Ed wrote and recorded the basic tracks of the song in the room I was working in. It was an inspiration tracking him!

In a matter of hours, Ed had written the music, arrangement and lyrics and we’d recorded all of it.

Any job where you get to listen to Ed singing into your microphones for a few hours, is a good one indeed.

The next day we moved into the ADR room at Park Road Post Productions and tracked more vocals and a cello part.

What a fantastic couple of days. Not only is Ed fantastically talented he is a super lovely guy!
